News Blast for Sunday, October 26, 2025

*For October we will be collecting Kleenex for Community Action. There is a box, next to the Community Action basket, that is for candy donated for the bags filled by Community Action for the Santa Train.

*We had our final concession stand for the Jr. High Volley Ball games on Monday, October 20, 2025. We had a successful year and ended on a positive note. The final tally for money collected for the Milk Voucher Program is $661 plus the Venmo charges. We have not gotten the final number on people who used the Venmo App to pay for their treats. Thank you to everyone who contributed. The baked goods (the kids loved the fresh cookies and brownies and bars!) and the fruit, especially grapes, seemed to be the big winners this year. Also bottled water was a hit. The kids were great and so appreciative of the snacks provided. Thanks to Jan Pauc for organizing and Fr. Michael, Pastor Lee and Tim for getting the baked goods to the school.

*We are officially into Stewardship season!! Stewardship Sunday will be On November 16, 2025. The annual Stewardship letters will be available at the church and those that are not picked up will be mailed.

*Christmas Tree Decorating on River Walk. Jan has a new set of lights, and some decorations from last year, but we could use some new ones too.We need outdoor friendly ornaments for this year’s tree. I have some (3 dozen or so that all have Christian/Christmas themes) but we probably could use additional ones. Decorating starts on Monday November 17th at 9 and I’ll be there “early” to pick out a tree for us. It took us a couple of hours last year - there were 4 or 5 of us.   If the weather is really nasty that day I’ll still go to secure our tree and then we can decorate on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Volunteers are appreciated!!

Giving Tree of Sauk County - We discussed at vestry meeting and have requested one family with up to 4 children. Gift tags will be to us by mid November. Each child gets 4 gifts - underwear/socks/diapers, a toy, and 2 articles of clothing. The family also gets a $25 gift card (I’m thinking generic such as Visa vs specific store). I’ll keep you posted and once we have the gift tags I’ll have a box/basket for our gifts.
